Our school’s pedagogy reflects the overarching principles and approach to learning outlined in the Sydney Catholic Schools’ Statement on Authentic Learning. By connecting to the real world of students’ lives, authentic learning enables students to become lifelong learners who contribute to society and the wider world as active and discerning citizens. Authentic learning is central to our work as Catholic educators because it promotes the continual growth and wellbeing of the whole person — spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically.

St Johns Catholic Primary School Auburn Learning ApproachAt St John’s Catholic Primary School Auburn we wholeheartedly believe that every student has the potential to learn when they are actively engaged in well-planned and resourced learning opportunities.

We value the varying cultures and languages of our families and our staff are highly skilled at implementing learning programs that will enable all learners to become competent and confident users of English.

We believe that parents play an important role in encouraging their children to persevere and achieve their learning goals
